Aimilios

The dwarf god of war, strength, tactics, blacksmiths and crafters
 

Creation

Aimilios was one of the first of his kind and long lost stories and folk tales talk of his creation. The stories tell of a man that was obsessed with jewels and precious minerals who sought to dig out the whole of a mountain to please himself and the gods of the time. After decades of digging, the pressure of the dark depths and magic of the very jewels started to change him. He begun to shrink in size and due to the harsh environments around him begun to develop a hardiness that no normal human could have developed. It is then said that after digging out what is no known as the dwarves grand hall he collapsed in the middle of this grand hall. His body then begun to transform into the very gems and minerals that he sought after. His soul was then allowed to accompany the gods above and a new body was made for him in his perfect image. This changed form of his was called a dwarf due to its unnatural strength, heartiness and short stature that was different from a human.
  His wife at the time was then said to give birth to 4 young girls and 4 young boys in the following years, each of which took after the form of their father. Others became dwarves after Aimilios through the same process of suffering the depths of the mountains but he was the first of his kind and the first to become a god. Most of the dwarf society can trace their roots back to Aimilios and his family and those that have the mosst direct line are said to be the rulers of the dwarves. Families that have their roots traced back to the original dwarves are said to be his closest advisors.
