Odette Maçon

Personal Life Born to a poor farming family in a small riverside town, Odette Maçon was raised with her 6 siblings to do manual labor and take life day by day. Occasionally, she would be allowed to travel with her father and 2 of her brothers along the river to sell their product in the city of Ceres. One day when setting up their stall, an unexpected attack on the city by a small cult declaring their dogma to be the "true form of the church" caused the populated square to erupt in bloodshed. When monsters began to emerged from various derelict buildings, her father and 1 of her brothers was killed in the chaos. As a city guards spear came clattering within reach of her, she quickly grabbed it to defend her younger brother from a charging fish-goat hybrid.    Killing her first monster at 11 years old, Odette was terrified, and quickly grabbed her sibling to hide under an overturned cart. After the square settled and the monsters were slain, a man from the Order of the Moonborn approached her, and comforted her. He took Odette and her brother to a small barracks for the next day to recover, and arranged for passage on a boat so he may take them home.   Years later, now a young women, she saw her struggling home life and the worsening conditions of the farmstead. Unsure how to help now that her older siblings had left with little word, she decided to find a job that could support her mother. Recalling the kind man she never discovered the name of from the Order of the Moonborn, she decided to return to Ceres for the first time in years. She found the barracks she had once slept in, and under the condition that they take care of her mother and younger siblings, she agreed to join the order.
