Fukayna

Goddess of Disease, Travelers, and Trade

Origin

The exact origin of Fukayna is unclear, much like her close relationship with Khaleed. There are a variety of stories depending on where you go in the world that depict them as a large range of things, sisters, a mother to a daughter, lovers, friends. The oldest known depiction of the less popular Fukayna can be found within a sandstone cave within Go'danro showing her holding hands side by side with Khaleed in front of a river lined with cat tails. The most popular story within Go'danro, where she is most worshipped states that she is the wiser, older mother to Khaleed and acts as the Goddess of Travels waystar and a place to always return too.

Places of Worship

Fukayna rarely has shrines or proper places of worship outside infrequent shrines within large taverns or places of healing with even those locations typically being tucked into quiet private corners of gardens or buildings.

Followers

Fukayna is often a goddess only called upon in times of hardship or to bless a traveler before a long journey. She is asked to cleanse diseases, protect trade goods, and keep wander lusting children safe from the dangers of the road. Her only devout followers often settle into heavily trafficked areas of commerce, creating the shrines within the taverns or places of healing themselves, working at the locations in more meager positions with a primary focus of speaking with strangers to help them on their journeys.
