Armi
Goddess of Community, Love and Protection
Origin
Armi once was a mortal women that was said to worship another goddess whose name is now forgotten to time. She was an important member of her community, acting as both a healer and as a midwife. As the village she lived in grew from a few dozen, to a small city, her reputation grew, and often she was asked for by name by even total strangers. So often did she provide her services for free, not discriminating against origin, wealth, or species, that it is said she helped give birth to every citizen within 6 miles of her clinic. Once demand and population grew so large she could not do it alone, she was given space within an old temple, and allowed to raise and train other men and women in basic medicine and childcare. After years of loyal service and naming her first apprentice a master, she went missing from within the temple walls. All her followers found of her was a marble statue depicting her holding a blanket swaddled newborn, and a familiar feeling of warmth, that reminded them of her smile.Places of Worship
Armi has very few temples or churches dedicated solely to her, but one can often find a small shrine of hers in a corner of a different gods temple, though never in the same place as The All Mother. Armi often has shrines in public places such as general stores and parks. At each, a small wicker basket is often placed that others are free to place trinkets, food, and other items into, so that others with less may take from it. Her largest temple is currently located in Woadpress, but has fallen into disrepair due to the flooding of the lands after the Second Arrival.Followers
Armi's cleric's are rarely granted any divine powers, and as such, only attracts the most pure of spirit and intentions. Clerics often work for free from her temples, removing magical diseases or curses, but are encourage to heal wounds with a practiced hand over a magical spell. Across the time she has been worshipped, only one Paladin has ever claimed to gain his power directly from hers, and later, he would become a powerful Cardinal Triarch within The Church of the Eternal Flame. While primarily worshiped by mothers and those with large families, to say that Armi has not touched every life across Sinstram in some distant way, is to deny her existence altogether.
