The Great Savanna

Geography

It is a flat plain, with many caverns and small lakes and streams. There are many caves below these plains, which are home to any number of beings. Few sentient species live here in large numbers, due to the aludri and dragon populations.

Ecosystem

It is a lively place with many species of animals and plants. It is populated by many large grazing animals, and very few predators. Dragons and Aludri frequent this area as a nesting ground and will stay for long periods. Dragons will thin out populations

Ecosystem Cycles

During the dry season, the largest of the animals will migrate away, leaving the predators to either follow or starve. this makes the plains rife with small mamals and birds flitting around. Every few years, Flocks of Aludri make this place their home, and help rebalance the predator/prey ratio.

Natural Resources

There is plentiful fruits and vegables durring the rainy season, and large trees scattered throughout the plains. Many precious metals and gemstones can be found in the caves below the surface, although not many survive the trip...
