Tano Wiyeh

Resource-rich and teeming with life,Tano Wiyeh is the second planet in the Tano system. It is a watery world dotted with vast offshore factory-cities and coastal outposts. First settled by Tewa colonists exiled from New Arizona during the Second Wave, Tano Wiyeh's first inhabitants relied on extensive human genome modification in order to adapt to the world's utterly incompatible environment. These mermen, known as the Paa, would become subjugated by the vast interstellar corporations of the Terran Mandate, using their adaptations to toil in aquaculture plants or in pharma-factories. After the Scream, the Paa would overthrow the remaining offworlders, subjugating them in turn under a new eugenicist regime. After centuries of Paa dominance, League of Planet scouts were drawn to the world, following reports of a vast and underutilized pre-Scream spaceyard. Unaltered humans along with pro-League Paa worked to overthrow the Paa eugenics cabals, paving the way for Tano Wiyeh's annexation as a League colony.
