Undead Alive

Undead Alive is a very famous heavy metal bard group that regularly goes on musical tours to other nations. They are home in the nation of Anodore, the flying island. Scribes and chroniclers working for local writing guilds tend to seek out the members of Undead Alive. Seeing the faces of the members on festival banners is not uncommon.   When the renowned metal musician group Undead Alive returns to Anodore, scribes and chroniclers for the Anodore Daily and the local Writer's Guilds rush to meet them as they arrive by their private airship, "the Grey Ripper".

The Members

Lightning

Lightning is the lead singer of Undead Alive. She was born as Ragna Oleifdóttir and she is the only child of the head of a local tailoring guild, Oleif Lodinsson. She is brave, passionate and direct, but she has a bad habit of taunting her enemies even if she cannot afford to do so. In the portrait image, she is seen in the top left.   Weapon of choice: Martial arts - Kick Your Face Style Combat effectiveness: Civilian without combat training or fighting experience   Using excessive force with her own developed fighting style based on kicking, Lightning is able to keep multiple attackers at bay.

Sigurdia

Sigurdia is the lead guitarist of Undead Alive. She was named Frida Hedindóttir after having been found as a young child on the porch of a farmstead near Fjordsvik. Rational, levelheaded and headstrong, she tends to clash with Lightning on many decisions despite being good friends. Vying for popularity with Lightning, they are friendly rivals playing for the same team. In the portrait image, she is seen in the top right.   Weapon of choice: Blunt weapons - Mace Combat effectiveness: Civilian without combat training or fighting experience   Using a light mace, Sigurdia is able to deal serious damage to one enemy. Her strategy is quite brutal - always aiming for the head.

Brynhild Northridóttir

Brynhild is the drummer for Undead Alive. She is kind and smart, but she takes a back seat when Lightning and Sigurdia are butting heads. Brynhild has a keen eye for detail and an uncanny ability to quickly connect the dots when it comes to puzzles and mysteries. She has thick glasses without which she cannot see a thing. In the portrait image, she is seen in the bottom left.

Brondulf Styrbiornsson

Brondulf is the bass guitarist for Undead Alive. Brondulf was once married and he fathered a son, but his wife passed away and care for his son fell upon him entirely. He is a mellow type who just does whatever needs to be done. While he is passionate for music, he tries to make free time for his son. In the portrait image, he is seen in the bottom right.

Career

Early career   According to a popular quote from Sigurdia herself, she met Lightning as they were both attempting to give a street performance on opposite ends of the same street. "We were both just trying to get some copper coins for some food," Sigurdia explains to a chronicler, "and we ended up trying to upstage each other both in volume and in performance quality."   As this musical clash escalated, Lightning ended up losing her voice because she was singing too loud and too intensely. Growing frustrated with the loss of her voice, she took Sigurdia's guitar and attempted to damage it. At the moment it is unknown if Lightning regrets doing so.   At that moment, a benevolent stranger with an ornate longsword and a tattered cape came along. Having heard both of their impressive performances, he was astounded with the quality of their acts and he gave them both a "hefty sum of money", according to Sigurdia.   Understandably both Lightning and Sigurdia were shocked, but the stranger smiled and he did not seem bothered by the loss of riches in the slightest. "He called it a fair deal in exchange for having been given such quality showmanship," Sigurdia details. The man also gave Lightning a curative for her lost voice. During her talk with the chronicler, Sigurdia admits to being puzzled as to why such a man would carry such specialised curatives on him.   Neither Lightning or Sigurdia can recall exactly what happened next, but they ended up in the same restaurant and they struck up conversation. Ever since then they decided to join their talents as bards, on the condition that it is always evident who the true star is.   To this day, they do not agree who that was supposed to be.   The Snowlands Grand Tour   The Snowlands Grand Tour in the year 594 was the first long travel undertaken by the members of Undead Alive. Even though they gained a lot of fans from the exposure, at this time they had not yet written what would be their number one hit single (Say Goodbye Fool).   The Key Slam Tour   The Key Slam Tour in 596 was a series of performances in several large nations, all of them sold out. Unique clothing and banners featuring the members of Undead Alive were sold at the performance venues, and they were extremely popular with the large amounts of fans.
