Sanura
Sanura is an old desert nation with a rich mythology.
The largest cities of the kingdom are Axedune in the west, Culacanthia in the southwest, Jadesand in the center and Scarabim in the east.
The kingdom of Sanura is ruled by an Archpriest. The Archpriest is seen as the divine bridge between the pantheon of gods and the mortal realm. Under the command of the Archpriest are a ruling class of men called the Vicaria and a ruling class of women called the Magisteria. The common folk are well organized and prosperous, and they are usually treated fairly by the nobles.
Gender norms are heavily enforced in Sanura. A unique trait of the culture of Sanura is that magic is seen as something that is only done by women. As such, men who cast magic spells are seen as girly and they will lose respect in their social circles. There are no laws against men using magic, but men using magic are commonly mocked.
Sanura is known for its extraordinary quality of steel. Sanuran steel is so strong that it can be compared to legendary metals. Sanuran weapons are highly prized, but they are difficult to forge. Only nobles and elite combatants have access to Sanuran weaponry.
The port city of Culacanthia is the capital of trade. The bazaar is known far and wide for its valuable and unique merchandise.
Structure
The kingdom is ruled by the Archpriest. Answering directly to the Archpriest are two distinct groups, the Vicaria and the Magisteria.
The leaders of the Vicaria are the Royal Justicars. They maintain order within the locales in Sanura and they report directly to the Archpriest. Royal Justicars preside over the justice system and they are judge, jury and executioner. The Vicaria is an organization of males.
The leaders of the Magisteria are the Sages. There is one Sage in every large city and they serve as keepers of the libraries and the domains of knowledge and magic. The Magisteria is an organization of females.
Assets
The treasury of Sanura has sufficient gold. The military forces of Sanura are well trained and are capable of making war.
