Compressor Cannon
Compressor cannons are single shot cannons. They are generally more expensive than spell-lock cannons but do not use shells. Instead, they drain energy from the Anima Core until fully charged with compressed An. They can hold this charge for a short time only as the compressed energy is volatile. The amount of time the charge can be held depends on the quality of the weapon’s battery. A fully charged weapon of this type will tremble under the pressure of the concentrated An within it. Instead of igniting this energy with a spell-lock, the dam obstructing the compressed An’s access to the barrel is opened, and the pent up energy roars out as a powerful beam of An. Such weapons generally have a range of 4 to 10 kilometers depending on the cannon. The recharge time after shots varies considerably depending on the quality of the weapon, the quantity of compressor cannons in use from a single anima core, and the capacity of the attached anima core itself.
