The Eternal Pantheon of Aslynthar
The core of the Holy Empire Aslynthar, the Eternal Pantheon made the building blocks of every facet of the empire's society. The prominent solar iconography and the very name of the empire sprouted from the leader of the Eternal Gods, Aslyn, god of the sun and inspiration, around which the rest of the pantheon's gods revolve. Norial and Palea, god and goddess of the moon and night and the stars, are Aslyn's son and daughter, and the three of them act as the leaders of the rest of the pantheon. The government of Aslynthar was modeled after this, consisting of three primary councils who led the rest of the government.
Even when the Empire fell, worship of the Eternal Gods continued in and beyond the former lands of Aslynthar. While it is most strongly integrated into the culture in Elgyngard, Asdera, Lacryn, and much of Syrel still have a strong religious presence surrounding these gods.
Mythology & Lore
Aslyn, one of the Elder Gods inexplicably born as the first known deities, embodied and embraced the sunlight and became a sign of inspiration for the humans in the south and east of Syrel. Aslyn and Lerial, goddess of growth and harmony, became spouses, and they became parents of Norial and Palea, god of the moon and goddess of stars.
