Growth Rate & Stages
Due to the radiation that mutated the species, Bast's Heart's growth rate is accelerated almost to a detriment. From gestation, it takes only two to three days for the herb to reach full maturity and bloom. The downside of this is that the herb often skips crucial stages in the biological cycle of any organism often including procreation.
Ecology and Habitats
Bast's Heart was believed to be originally a normal strain of Salvia Africanus until it was mutated by a meteor of Vibranium which housed (Anachronous Item # : The Soul Stone) that hit what would soon become the nation of Wakanda in Prehistoric times. The herb has adapted to only grow in areas bathed in a slightly above average amount of gamma radiation. Bast's Heart differs greatly from its fellow Salvia in the fact that it grows more similarly to cacti.
