Anachronistic Item #2478: The Orb of Agamotto

Crafted from the shards of a Cosmic Cube as a device to aid in meditation by the first human Sorcerer Supreme, Agamotto, the Orb of Agamotto can search deep into someone's soul and show their truest desires by drawing power from the soul stone. Since it's original user, the orb has been passed around so often that it was once thought to be lost to history. When used correctly, the item has been used to influence major events in history. In 1337, royal advisor and disciple of Mephisto, Meryll Preston, used the orb to influence the king of England inciting the Hundred Years War. In 1872, a wild west con man and Welsh immigrant, Kai Silius, finds himself in possession of the orb and uses it to establish the Disciples of Dormammu. In 1974, the orb lands in the possession of Antoine Delsoin who bought it from a thrift shop in Harlem in 1973 and used it as a disco ball in his night club. Once he found that the patrons of his club became more "generous" when he used the orb, Antoine dubbed himself the Hypno Hustler and the wielded the orb in a string of bank robberies. In Stockholm, Sweden, Delsoin disappeared in the middle of a battle with Sorcerer Supreme, A.R.M.O.R. Threat #110: Dr. Stephen Strange {Deceased},  only to be found trapped within the Orb. The most recent user of the orb was one, Quinton Beck better known as Mysterio, who used it as a helmet after it was gifted to him by the Hand. The orb was shattered in a battle with S.H.I.E.L.D.
