The Calender of Derelen is the chosen calendar for the world of
Derelen, used by most cultures. In the Calendar of Derelen, a week consists of seven days, each named after a star constellation of and Derelen's common word for day.

Months are measured from the beginning of the New Year, which falls on the same day as the Celebration of Ashes. There are twelves months in a year with 365 days, and one leap year every five years. When creating the calendar, High Mages came together and included legendary creatures in the names of the months.
Additional Information
When speaking the date, you say the day followed by the month, and then the year. For example: the 12th of Keren, 5, or Thunderday the 12th of Keren, 5.
Derelen has two moons, Lunaris (male) and Lunaopis (female). Lunaris makes a full travel around Derelen every 14 days whlie Lunaris takes only 10 days to complete the cycle.
There is only one current era; the Era of Shadowfells (ESF). The current era represents the time when demons, fiends, and archdevils are at their strongest as they look to carve Derelen in their image, destroying the gods above.
There is no year zero. For example, the last year of ESF is the year -1.
