Nethria

Nethria is a mysterious and enigmatic deity, who is known to few and understood by even fewer. She is often depicted as a shadowy figure, shrouded in darkness and cloaked in secrets. Her followers believe that she is the embodiment of the darkness that resides in all of us, and that by embracing her, they can harness its power to achieve their goals.

Background

Nethria is said to have come into existence at the moment the first shadow hit the ground but rather than making herself known to the other gods, she stayed in the shadows, her essence stretching to all shadows in the Shattered Kingdoms. For untold eons, as the gods walked the world, she remained hidden, learning the secrets of the gods. As the mortal races came into existence, she watched as their civilizations grew and the political intrigue became more large-scale and interesting.

During that time she subtly let herself be known to the mortal world, influencing one group or another, for her own means. Eventually she took form and one by one, showed herself to the gods. Having learned most of their darkest secrets she was able to adeptly move through the gods' political game. None of the gods know how deep her knowledge goes, and no god has dared challenge her, but as she has done no hostile actions, the gods let her be but keep a wary eye on her.

Dogma

Nethria's dogma is centered around the idea that knowledge is power. Her followers believe that by acquiring knowledge and keeping it secret, they can gain a significant advantage over their enemies. They also believe that the darkness that Nethria embodies is not something to be feared or shunned, but something to be embraced and harnessed for their own purposes.

Followers

Nethria's worshippers are not limited to those who operate in the shadows for a living. Adventurers who value cunning and intelligence over brute strength are drawn to Nethria's teachings.
