Gecyndas

Gecyndas typically appears as an elven woman of timeless beauty, her features radiating serenity and wisdom. Her eyes are a deep emerald green, reflecting the verdant hues of the forests she protects. Her flowing silver hair cascades down her shoulders, often adorned with leaves and blossoms that bloom in her presence. She is usually garbed in simple robes of woven vines and leaves, her attire blending seamlessly with the natural world. A gentle aura of warmth and vitality surrounds her, and the scent of pine needles and freshly turned earth often lingers in the air wherever she treads.

Background

Gecyndas first came to the Shattered Kingdoms when the forests were still young. They reminded her of her own home of Lunestera. Along with Erden, she nurtured the first forests, coaxed life from barren plains, and guided the creatures that roamed the wild. Her touch brought peace and harmony to the land, fostering an environment where life could thrive.

As mortal races emerged, Gecyndas extended her protection to them, shielding them from harm and guiding them towards a harmonious existence with nature. She taught them the art of healing, showing them how to harness the power of nature to mend wounds and cure ailments. Her wisdom fostered communities that thrived in symbiosis.

One particular place of note was the Forest of Frandir. It was a forest that she created in the image of her home Lunestera. It was a place of peace and relaxation where everyone was welcome, god and mortal alike. Only those with evil intent were kept from entering. Sadly, that forest was destroyed by her half-sister Gefas in the third century before The Great Upheaval.

Her followers are called to defend the forests, care for all living creatures, and promote harmony within their communities and with the land. Many of her followers are skilled in the arts of healing and defense, using their abilities to safeguard both nature and the innocent. Gecyndas's temples are often found in the heart of ancient forests, their structures blending seamlessly with the surrounding trees and wildlife, serving as sanctuaries for those seeking peace and healing.

Enemies

Gecyndas's enemies are those who threaten the delicate balance of nature, disrupt the peace she fosters, and cause harm to the living beings under her protection. They include those who exploit the forests for personal gain, pollute the land and waters, and wage war for selfish ambitions. She opposes those who spread chaos and destruction, reveling in violence and suffering. Gecyndas also stands against those who would disrupt the harmony between mortals and nature, seeking to dominate and control the natural world for their own purposes. Her opposition extends to forces that threaten the sanctity of life, including those who promote undeath and corruption. In essence, any who opposes the principles of peace, healing, and the preservation of life are considered enemies of Gecyndas.
