Senatheas

Senatheas is one of the city states within the Athis Val confederation, and the current seat of the council. The city is known for its focus on transmutation magic, housing both the foremost college of transmutation and the institute of animation, where researchers experiment with various forms of animated objects or artificial life, and where many of Ussath Riel's golems are created. The city is also protected by many of the golems produced by the institute and they are often seen patrolling the streets, or doing the heavy lifting for workshops and merchants wealthy enough to purchase them. The city also houses a great number of craftsmen and tinkerers, both magical and mundane.   The city itself skirts the mineral rich mountains on the border with Lugras, and part of the city is carved out of the mountain face itself. A complex of quarries and mines just outside the city provides it with the required materials for building and crafting.
