Inshira Allanar
The High-Elven nation of Inshira Allanar has stood firm for centuries and remains a powerful bastion where 'the old ways' of Elvenkind are celebrated and defended. A remnant of the Crown Wars, Inshira Allanar managed to withstand the turmoil of the wars and the various conflicts and calamities thereafter. This has caused many High Elves and others who appreciate 'the old ways' to flock towards this kingdom while the other Elven nations of old, save for Arleron, were lost to the ravages of time. Inshira Allanar has changed little since then, it's people fiercely defending their 'old ways' in which tradition, ceremony, and the persuit of perfection are some of the most cited aspects.
The Allanarion society is very strict and highly regimented. This, coupled with the reputation of the majority Sun-Elven population for for being arrogant, stubborn and condescending towards other races and even other Elves, have made sure that the nation has relatively few non-Elven residents and even amongst the Elven population, many Moon Elves and Wood Elves do not feel comfortably living amongst their Sun-Elven cousins on a permanent basis. Despite the abrasive personality ascribed to the Sun Elves by others, the Allanorians generally care for the well-being of the other races & nations, and have provided assistance when it was required. This was most recently proven when, during the war of the serpents, when Inshira Allanar held firm against the forces of the Xodranim Empire to prevent them from spilling into Ussath Riel proper, suffering great losses in the process.
Although most do not feel comfortable to settle amongst the Sun Elves, Inshira Allanar does get many visitors. The elven ports on the South-East coasts of Ussath Riel provide a steady supply of trade with the other nations of the continent and even with far-away Kizretiri. Those whose trade or travels bring them to the High-Elven nation are often awed by its grand, elegant cities, its magical wonders and the remarkable orderliness and beauty of its lands, as if nature itself obeys the will of its people and follows their drive for order and perfectionism.
Demography and Population
The majority population consists of Sun Elves, and Inshira Allanar is also the home of the largest population of Moon Elves. The latter however, typically do not settle permanently and consider the kingdom a temporary home between their various travels. Inshira Allanar is also home to the largest population of Wood Elves outside of their own nation of Arleron, but most Wood Elves differ to much from their Sun Elves cousins to consider settling in their lands.
The High-Elven kingdom also has a large population of residents that hail from the neighbouring Athis Val, whose residents share many similarities with the Allanorians.
Foreign Relations
Inshina Allanar maintains diplomatic contact with most political entities on Ussath Riel, going so far as maintaining embassies with most of the other nations. Part of this comes from its own vested interests in upholding trade and an exchange of information, and part comes from it's outlook as a fatherly protector of the "lesser" states. The Allanorians will generally maintain diplomatic contact even with those political entities they find distasteful - like Vindraxos due to its approach towards necromancy, and the Vikren Isles due to its piracy - in the hopes of steering them towards a "better" way, but those who truly raise the ire of Inshira Allanar can expect swift repercussions. All diplomatic contact and trade with Nestur was cut off for example, when it welcomed the Drow delegation to its lands.
