Aynir

The sprawling city of Aynir was the capitol of the Valmith empire. At the peak of the empire's power, it was the largest city within Ussath Riel and the political, religious, and economic heart of the empire. Much of the city was destroyed however during The Silent Invasion and the civil war following the Valmith Schism. Due to the serious damage, the tense relations between the three succesor states, and the continueing corrupting influence of the demonic ritual that caused the Silent Invasion, much of the city has been abandoned.
What remains of this once fair city is now slowly being reclaimed by The Endless Marches. Frequent storms of acid rain tarnish the city's old monuments and most of the buildings are slowly becoming overgrown or they sink into the filthy mires of the marshes. The only living souls that still grace Aynir are the forces of the three succesor states who stubborn fight over the remains of a city all others have given up on.
