King Cerbion of Lutianen

A period of 20.000 years of triumvirate was interrupted in Lutianen. That period wasn't all prosperity and victory, as suggested by the fact that the Ruler of Law and Diplomacy was able to find support and boldness to make himself a absolute tyrant. However there is no debate bout the fact that what came next, after a brief hiatus, was far worse.

The period of Marvel and Mystery was the worse in Lutianen History since the fall of the time between the fall of Golden Wing Temple and the foundation of

Black Centaur Castle.

Cerbion government was supported by the Mage Caste, but displeased greatly most the Noble Caste (Historically powerful on Insular City). Among his most important actions was the transference of Lutianen Welcome Tower on the Continent from Scholar Caste to the control of Mage Castes. He had promised that to the mage in the beginning of his government but only managed to fulfill the promise few years before die.

Strong, blood-thirst and wise. Precisely as mad as necessary to get the job done.

" Lutianen used to have three kings for about five thousand years. Until the man who was the Ruler of Law and Diplomacy at the time decide to kill the other two kings and take all power (Earthling year, Ey 1941 ), in fact. He led a happy and prosper Era, for ten months: but then died mysteriously.

“Before King Cerbion” is an expression which means bad times on Lutianen. They say things like “that’ cheese you are selling is from before king Cerbion”, “your free companion is from before King Cerbion”, “you have before Cerbion sword-skills” and so on.

The great king was 12 years old when he became tyrant (Ey 1963) , 140 when he died (Ey 2091). His face is everywhere, today (Earthling year, Ey 2092 ) , however until he die there was no single statue of him on the island: he never invested public resources in self-promotion or allowed his supporters to invest their own.

Cerbion will never be replaced, I believe. During his 128 year in power he rescued his city from a fall into barbarism and inevitable submission to it's Historical enemy, the Estate City of Shirshan. Man was a strong, genial, bloodthirsty and wise man; just mad enough to do the job.

King Cerbion died about a year after my arrival, and about a year before my last day as student at Black Centaur. Lutianen had been almost reduced at mere pirate port before him, but was once again prosper and respected by the time Cerbion tranquilly perish.

Under King Cerbion the monopoly of one end of the nearest Green Line_ the popular name for the Vortex Lines, which are the lines were the vortex mostly deposit the involuntary immigrants, myself included_ had been used again to give impulse to city’s economy. The rights of citizenship once much more restricted had been extended by Cerbion to most “involuntary immigrants”. As long as we were useful and accepted to fully adopt city’s laws.

However many ancient lineages and institutions in the polis always saw that “Full Welcome Police” as a dangerous and unpredictable nonsense."
