Pillar of Law

The Pillar of Law is one of the most solemn and demanding positions on the Council, as they are the ultimate authority on all matters of justice within Haven. Their responsibilities are comprehensive, covering the entire legal framework of the city. Chief Legal Authority: The Pillar of Law is responsible for proposing and drafting all new laws and edicts for the city. They work closely with the other Pillars to ensure that new regulations align with the city's needs while upholding the principles of the Pylon Concordat.   Judicial Oversight: This Pillar serves as the final judge and arbiter in all major legal disputes. They oversee the Wardens' judicial decisions in the districts, acting as a supreme court. Their word is final in all cases, from disputes over resources to serious infractions against the Circuit's authority.   Enforcement of the Concordat: The Pillar of Law is the chief interpreter and defender of the Pylon Concordat, the core belief system of Haven's government. They ensure that all laws and judgments are in accordance with this sacred document and that its authority is never questioned.   Determination of Punishments: It is the Pillar of Law who determines the severity of all punishments, including the fate of dissenters and those who pose a threat to the Circuit's stability. Their authority extends to all matters of social control, ensuring that the populace adheres to the strict order imposed by the Conduits.
