Pillar of Defense

The Pillar of Defense is a high-ranking member of the Council of Pillars, entrusted with the complete oversight of Haven's security and military. This individual holds ultimate authority over the city's defenses, from its outer walls to its internal security.   The Pillar of Defense's primary responsibilities include:   Commanding the Wardens: The Pillar is the direct commander of the Wardens of the Veil. They set their patrols, dictate their training, and ensure they are ready to respond to any threat, both internal and external.   Maintaining the Great Wall: They are ultimately responsible for the integrity of the Great Wall of Haven and its Resonance Sentinels. The Pillar of Defense oversees the ritual of Resonance Re-Calibration and must ensure that the wall is always at peak magical efficiency.   Strategic Planning: The Pillar develops all of Haven's military and defensive strategies. This includes anticipating incursions from the Void and planning the city's response to any potential magical breaches.   Resource Allocation: They manage the resources allocated to defense, ensuring the Wardens have the magical artifacts, tools, and training necessary to perform their duties.
