Yogo Kōichi (He/Him)

A young Scorpion bushi-in-training. Yogo Kōichi is yet forbidden from wearing the traditional mask donned by all Scorpion Clan samurai. Instead, he bundles the lower half of his face in a strip of rough white cloth. Above this, his striking green eyes are capped by a mop of dark, shaggy hair oft tied back in a ponytail.
Kōichi is tall and well-built for his years, yet apparently has not yet fully understood the intricacies of what it means to be a bushi of the Scorpion Clan. While other young adults his age are taking up their daishō, he has instead been sent to the frontier logging town of Rindō for reasons known only to his sensei. Not quite a samurai but certainly not a peasant, Kōichi occupies an uncertain place in the village hierarchy. It's clear Magistrate Shosuro Jūko certainly doesn't know what to do with him. So, for the most part, Kōichi lounges around the town in clothing of a fine but simple cut, waiting for some unheralded revelation or trial which will allow him to meet his teacher's requirements and become a full samurai.
