Custodian Order

The Order has its roots in the Order of Purity in Califia. Aria Regius, who, along with the crew of Sol Kalitta was brought to Marr, awakened in herself the ability to move between worlds. This was the beginning of the expedition of the Order of Purity to the new world.   And unlike Califia, Marr has not yet "fallen" - neither the devils, nor anyone else has put their paws on this land. Therefore, the mission of the expedition was established - to stand guard over the new world, protect it from outside influence, and heal the well-known wounds of Marra, which can lead to catastrophic consequences. The expedition called itself the Order of the Custodians   To date, the expedition has never been replenished since the day of departure.   The head of the Order of the Custodians is Luther Serrano, the senior inquisitor of the Order of Purity of the Sanguine Section, who specializes in preparing operations, making contact with representatives of outside interests, and providing support in battle.   The head of Intelligence is Lucian Serrano. As an Inquisitor of the Order of Purity of the Shadow Section, Lucian is a renowned master at intelligence gathering, sabotage, and infiltration into hard-to-reach territory. In combat, Lucian wields long range weapons.   Rex of the Spiritual Section volunteered to be the expedition's spiritual guide. Logistics, resource management, work at the workbench - he is known to be a good jack-of-all-trades in the Order. On the expedition, Rex manages not only the financial situation of the Custodians, but also monitors the mental state of his comrades. In battle, Rex is the center of attention of the enemy - there were stories in the Order of Purity about Rex's stamina and courage, his ability to stay alive against all odds.   A young Inquisitor of the Sanguinary Section, Aria Regius, fills the role of the Expedition's Executor. Her direct responsibilities include the execution of tasks assigned to her from start to finish. However, contrary to the standards, the head of the expedition, Luther Serrano, endowed her with special privileges, roughly comparable to the deputy head of the expedition. In view of this, Aria has great autonomy in determining her tasks. In combat, Aria relies on her unrivaled speed and agility to deal lethal damage.   About the instruments of the Order.   The Order of the Custodians brought to the world of Marra the Shadow Network of Shallush, a system of instant exchange of letters between members of the Order. An extremely important factor in the stable operation of the network is the prohibition of using the real names of the sender and addressee. In view of this rule, the Shadow Network remains strictly for the internal use of the Order.   The Order assigns each significant person (including members of the Order) a code name, which is known to all members of the organization. The Shadow Web relies on the use of these codenames.     On the politics of the Order.   Being aliens from a fallen world where the most appropriate description of the Order of Purity would be "Rebel Resistance", the members of the expedition have largely retained the habits of survival in a world that wants you dead. However, Marr is different from Califia, and consequently the principles of the Order of the Custodians must also be different from the Order of Purity.   Luther, from the first days of his arrival on Marr, began attempts to establish contact with the surrounding factions, in order to establish at least some kind of relationship and potential partners. Judging that the general state of affairs allowed the Custodians to divert their attention from the Order's immediate goals and to render favors to the surrounding powers, Luther sent out numerous letters of cooperation to Fairblutt's aristocracy. Time will tell whether the recipients have enough responsibility to repay the debts for the assistance provided. In any case, the Order is no stranger to carrying out its tasks alone and surrounded by enemies.   On a macro-political level, the Custodians are neutral to the surrounding factions, with the exception of the Barony of Azewal. Baron Flies is listed as the second largest threat in the Book of the World of Kustodiev.   Currently, the Order's only partner on Marr is the Order of the Stormcallers.   About joining the Order   In Califia, the Order of Purity took recruiting new associates very seriously. Each new person was kept under the watchful eye of the internal watchers, to prevent infiltration by enemy infiltrators and to determine the motives of the new arrivals.   Sooner or later, the young members of the Order complete the stage of entry, and it is time to enter the Section. The choice of further affiliation depends both on the personal desires of the novice inquisitor, and on their personality. Calm, thoughtful and orderly members of the Order are more likely to fall into the Shadow or Spiritual Section, while the more short-tempered ones experience themselves in the Blood Awakening Ritual of the Sanguinary Section.   In the expedition to Marr - in the Order of the Custodians - no new members were yet recruited. However, time will tell how much the Order will have to change in the new, not yet lost world.   About the Expedition members   Luther Serrano believes in the power of the word. Although a very capable spellcaster, Luther still prefers to fight in the political arena. He delights in successful intrigue and manipulation.   On Marra, Luther sees potential in a warmer relationship with those around him. The Order's foreign policy can be described as "First candy, then Whip". Luther evaluates the actions of the powerful in the new world, starting with a friendly approach. In case of suboptimal results, the Order will switch to the traditional mode of operation - to stop considering etiquette and start to regard factions as obstacles to the goal.   Luther never throws off his mask of calmness and benevolence. Second only to the success of the Order's mission for Luther are his comrades. Kalifia taught him that like-minded people and comrades who are ready to give their lives for you are the most important thing a person can have in life.   Luther successfully completed the Sanguinary Section's Blood Awakening Ritual, and awakened his ability to create magic through music. Luther's favorite instrument is the violin.
