Eladrim the first giant obtained a form of awareness if you can call it that.

A piece of Shanalar laying dormant for eons awakened to a desolate and barren world. Without a goal, it wandered across Shanalar without rest. Of course, an exact date or account of events do not exist. It is however believed that the birth of Eladrim set in motion all the events that followed. What was before is not known.
