Pelor the Dawnfather
Pelor, known as the Dawnfather, is the deity of the sun, summer, of life and agriculture, commonly revered by farmers and those who rely on the land for their livelihood.
His followers in Shal'Azura, though less numerous than in the Earther settlements scattered across the verdant Wadi Adkhar far below, hold a stubborn, bright loyalty. Here, among the districts named for rivers and wind, the Sun God’s rites are practiced in window-hung tulip lamps and the latticed roofs through which morning’s rays reach patient altars. One such altar is the Devotion of Khemet Ves — who is both a scholar, masked to keep his erudite reputation intact, and faithful supplicant of the Dawnfather — who keeps a small and humble Pelorite shrine in Eatifat.
Pelor's symbol is the Rising Sun at Dawn, representing hope and life, and serving as a beacon of order that protects against the unseen threats and dangers that hide in the darkness of night.
