Memory Lane
While having breakfast at their safehouse, the runners are approached by the safehouse manager. She tells them a friend of hers is in need of some folks ready to investigate a theft, while being ready to fight if needed. She provides them with an address to visit if they're interested. The address is Regenold Street 12 in Riverplex, the house located there seems rather fancy.
If the runners visit, they see that the street is full of fancy houses, each their own style and most with luxury cars and statues. At number 12, however, they see a solid armoured van. When they enter the house, they see a lot of windows with Devil Rats behind them. The owner of the house approaches them and says his safe was broken into recently, he suspects his family.

Fred Regenold
The Regenolds come from money, their lineage big enough that Fred's grandparents bought up an entire street and built houses there to provide to their children and grandchildren. A few years ago, they passed away and their wills spread the assets rather fairly. This was to the disgruntlement of many of their children, who felt entitled to more than an equal share.
Fred Regenold works as a parazoologist and used his money and house to set up a Devil Rat sanctuary. He loves the little buggers and has stored many a video and picture in a Memory Palace, to let him revisit these beautiful moments. And recently, his vault was broken into and the Memory Palace stolen. He suspects this is to extort him out of his inheritance, and wants it back. This is why he needs the runners.
The Run
Regenold Street consists of a lot of houses, because all the children and grandchildren received one. Fred suspects four of his uncles, due to certain events in the past. Unfortunately he isn't sure. The runners will have to investigate on their own, to figure out who is responsible. They could do this through any of many means. Espionage, mind control, social engineering, or even the blatant threat of violence. Of course rich folks do not go unprotected, so the team must either circumvent or deal with bodyguards. On the bright side, the Regenolds tend to be too arrogant to push any panic buttons. Eventually the team will be able to figure out it was John Regenold that stole the Memory Palace.6 Karma
Word on the street
"The inheritance fight is a drekkin' nightmare. Constant accusations, bickering over even the smallest discrepancy, while it costs ten times as much to reveal it was simply a clerical error."
"These precious memories mean everything to me, but they were stolen. Please bring them back."
"What, me? No, of course not. I understand how important emotional connections are, I would never harm my nephew through doing such a cruel thing."
"You filthy thief! Give me back my property, or you'll regret it!"
