Jackdaw

Non-Canon Character

Okay, I need you to look out your window. There is bound to be a flock of jackdaws somewhere in your sight. Zoom, enhance, focus on one of them. Memorise that little feathery bugger. Now do something else for half an hour. Done? Liar. Go take a smoke break at least. Done? Good. Go try to find that specific jackdaw again. Hard, no?   Now that is what it is like to try to pick out Jackdaw from a crowd. She disguises herself constantly, so she blends in perfectly. An elf that looks human, albeit with the height that that gave her. But welcome to the Lowlands, tall women and men are on every corner. If she donned a mustache, you would never be able to find her again.

There's runners out there that can handle themselves in a fight, but good luck getting them to blend in, or through a police checkpoint. Vice versa, there's people with a silver tongue, yet incapable of doing anything but hiding when lead starts flying about. Now Jackdaw, she's skilled at both. She can talk herself out of or into trouble, while also kneecapping that annoying guard on her tail.   And after that, good luck finding her after she changes her face. Y'see, this streetface constantly walks around in disguise. While she might be tall, this is the UNL, so she doesn't stick out in a crowd. Plus she's human-looking, so even her metatype doesn't work against her.   There's just one downside to her, and that's her mean streak. In short, she gets her kicks out of provoking people. Sure, she won't blow up the run for fun, but when there's multiple solutions, she'll gladly choose the one involving some drama. Despite that, fellow runners by and large greatly respect her both personally and professionally. If you're a fair Johnson, she won't be a problem either. If.

Testimonials

Our Johnson double-crossed us. He never saw her coming.

Jackdaw is, and I mean this as a compliment, a manipulative glitch. I saw her cause a barfight that proved a perfect distraction. 11/10, would hire again. Next time, I'm bringing popcorn.
