Stephen Bachman

The Whispering Pines Inn is presided over by the peculiar Mr. Stephen Bachman. A gaunt, reclusive figure with a shock of unruly white hair and eyes that seem to hold an untold number of secrets, Mr. Bachman is an unlikely innkeeper. He inherited the property from a distant relative in the early 1980s and has run it with a quiet, almost spectral efficiency ever since. Guests often find him hunched over a well-worn dime-store horror novel or a brightly colored comic book behind the reception desk, his lips moving silently as he devours the latest macabre tale. His love for the fantastical and the frightful is well-known, and some say the Inn itself has taken on a subtle, eerie charm under his stewardship, the whispering pines outside seeming to echo the chilling narratives within his favorite paperbacks.
