Jorahn the Discening

Jorahn the Discerning was an ancient Jhatee folk hero. He lived many thousands of years ago during the Jhatee Bronze age. He was a Justicar of an ancient Kingdom.

Summary

Jorahn presided over a case of theft within a small farming community, where a dispute arose over the ownership of a prized livestock. The accused, a young farmer named Tarek, was accused of stealing a valuable breeding bull from his neighbor's herd. Despite Tarek's vehement denials, the evidence against him was circumstantial, prompting Jorahn to invoke the Trial of Truth and use the Kryxite to determine the veracity of his claims.   It was then that the Justicar decided to present the court with a large Kryxite  crystal. This was a type of gemstone that would photoeverance slightly when someone breaths on it. He presented it to the court and told the accused to speak the truth into the crystal. He told them that the fluctuations of the crystals would divine the truth to him. In reality, Jorahn observed the mannerisms of the peopel doing this strange act. People who were lying were more awkward as they would have to think about what they were doing, along with what their story was. By observing the mannerisms and the speakign rate of the person, they revealed themselves.   THe Key Concepts are that truth is simple, and a lie is always more dififcult to do along side another task.

This version is often preformed by Local Jhatee live plays as well as several dramatic vids.
