You brandish the weapon used in the spell’s casting and make a ranged weapon attack with it against one creature within 60 feet of you. On a hit, the target suffers the attack’s normal effects, and the air around it turns frigid, halving its movement speed until the end of its turn.
At 5th level, the ranged attack deals an extra 1d4 cold damage. The cold damage increases by 1d4 at 11th level (2d4) and 17th level (3d4).
