You configure the scrap metal and wiring used as the material components to create a shield generator and then deploy it onto a creature you can see within range. Until the spell ends, the target has resistance to damage from ranged attacks.
Each time the target takes damage from a ranged attack, you must make an Intelligence saving throw with DC equal to 10 or the amount of damage the resistance prevented, whichever is higher. On a failure, the spell ends.
When the spell ends, the shield generator falls apart into the material components used to create it, and you can reclaim those material components as an action on your turn while you’re within 5 feet of them.
