The Yellow Sign

The Yellow Sign is an as yet unidentified malware program that is rumored to affect cyberware. There are a number of reports on the fringe of individuals being affected, primarily by way of a common theme amongst reported symptoms (see below). Affected individuals are geographically located in the southern Malaysian Peninsula, Singapore and parts of Pfizer-Indonesia. Positive identification and isolation of the malware program has proved elusive as the program erases itself from the operating system after an indeterminate amount of time. Individuals appear to recover fully a short time later.   Symptoms:

• Unexplained memory loss
• Induced complacency
• Reduced awareness and self-awareness

  On September 7, 2048, BYTE diagnosed Eileen Tay as having been affected by the Yellow Sign by way of incompletely removed code fragments in her cyberware.
