Tiroce, the Star-Javelin

  1. Prerequisite: To even wield Tiroce, the user must be able to wield Cosmic Flames, which can be granted via contracting Bifröst Sickness and developing Bifröst Mutation from frequent exposure to the Bifröst.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

  • Strike True (While Tiroce may appear to be moving through space-time when launched, what it does is open a Bifrost directly to the space-time of the target, with virtually no travel time and a 99% chance to hit the foe, unless they can react in the space between heartbeats. What is seen traveling through the air is simply an afterimage or mirage. The user does not need to see the target, they simply need to know where they are)
  • Multi-Dimensional Thrust (Tiroce is not a 3-dimensional weapon and thus can wound 4th and 5th-dimensional beings)
  • Dimensional Pierce (Tiroce can pierce through dimensions, allowing it to ignore conventional armor, shields, and physical barriers by phasing through them. It can strike targets in alternate realities or bypass time and space itself)
  • The Multi-Formed Spear (Bālkyth bonded the Tiroce with a Draupnir Ring, which allows him to summon an infinite amount of Tiroce spears, so long as he keeps the original in his possession. Copies of Tiroce are weaker than the original and do not have the Strike True attribute, but still move faster than the eye can see for most species)
  • Variable Shape and Size (Tiroce is not a physical weapon by traditional means and thus can change its shape and size on the command of its user)
  • Cosmic Fire (Tiroce amplifies its user's ability to use Cosmic Fire (or Biflames))

History

The Tiroce was created by Sir Bālkyth the Star Javelin, a Beggar Knight known for his wandering escapades and nomadic lifestyle. Bālkyth reached into the Bifröst and pulled out a little piece of it for himself, a spark of light that burned with the passion of the stars. Bālkyth commissioned the Blackstone Hammer Forge to shape it into a spear, his weapon of choice, infusing it with a Draupnir Ring. It was dubbed Tiroce, the Star-Javelin, and was his weapon of fame.   When Bālkyth died, Tiroce spiraled out of control, replicating itself ceaselessly until it grew into an amalgamation of rainbow light and cosmic fire, a Bifröst Storm that swept up planets, star systems, and even galaxies and entire realms and transported them across the cosmos randomly. Bālkyth's remains laid at the eye of this cosmic storm and there it remained until one of his sons, Billy the Hero, would venture to the storm and tame it, claiming Tiroce for himself.

Rarity
Bifröst weapons, meaning items formed from the raw Bifröst itself, are unique in that they are not something that can be found naturally or regularly. The inclusion of the Draupnir Ring within the Tiroce also makes it an even more formidable weapon.
