The 10 Honorable Titles
The 10 Titles are automatically bestowed upon any person who reaches Buddhahood; divine enlightenment.
- Thus Come One: One who has come from the world of truth.
- Worthy of Offerings: One who is qualified to receive offerings from mortal and holy beings.
- Right and Universal Knowledge: One with a correct and perfect understanding of all phenomena.
- Perfect Clarity and Conduct: One who understands eternity, or the past, present, and future existences, and who is a perfect performer of good deeds.
- Well Attained: One who has gone over to the world of enlightenment.
- Understanding the World: One who understands all secular and religious affairs by grasping the law of causality.
- Unexcelled Worthy: One who stands supreme among all living beings.
- Trainer of People: One who trains and leads all people to enlightenment.
- Teacher of Heavenly and Human Beings: One who can teach and educate all Mortal and Holy beings.
- Buddha, the World-Honored One: An awakened one, endowed with perfect wisdom and virtue, who wins the respect of all people.
