Xaihou Jian

Dressed in beautiful Lamellar of a deep blue color. Plain and simple clothes of a philosopher beneath. At his side a straight elegant sword with a handle which has artistic designs of a tree on it. This man appears to be a human but upon closer examination his eyes being a bright gold. His Aasimar heritage is not well hidden, nor does he try to. He has a athletic build to him and appears quite healthy. He walks rather slowly and on occasion looks very lost in thought.   Xaihou Jian is one of the premiere instructors on swordsmenship to the knights of the order. He has been for some time since his arrival to the order following his exile from the Empire of Vallonde. A tough teacher who pushes his students as far as he can. However after pushing his students he is also just as likely to take them to one of his favorite tea houses. In which he will talk of the philosophy of combat, peace, and the nature of living a good joy filled life. Being skilled with a sword, he is physical and spiritual in his teachings. Both of which take time to cultivate and he seems to always be willing to take his time on these teachings. His stories tend to be lessons rather then just tales for the sake of tales. If asked about his homeland he speaks little on it simply commenting that it is a beautiful but complex land.   He can often be seen with a holy symbol of Milana. Jian is skilled with a blade and skilled in philosophy. But he seems to lack patience for politics and for those with inflated egos. Several sons and daughters of Nobles who have come to the order to earn fame and glory have been humbled by him. Boasting he says is fine in short moments of glory. But one should never rest on laurels, more so when they were built up by someone else. Despite several reprimands from his Knight Commander for being unreasonably harsh on some students, his teachings seem to affect those who study under him and turn them into excellent swordsmen, and more often then not more spiritually and emotionally sound knights.
