Upper Kaldanar Aristocratic Faction Ideals

The aristocratic faction of Upper Kaldanar prides itself on being for the people of Upper Kaldanar since their families originated among the common folk. Their intentions are the intentions of the commoners and their will is the will of the commoners. Even if they are nobles, they will always remember their humble roots and will always have the commoners in their hearts.

Since the original purpose of the aristocratic faction was to make sure the crown did not become a tyrant, many of the common folk left their trust in the aristocratic factions and its associated nobles. The nobles that are in the aristocratic faction are among the powerful in the country, second only to the four Archdukes of Upper Kaldanar. Despite each of their family’s humble roots, the aristocratic faction is typically anything but humble. They flaunt their wealth by giving rations to the commoners and helping them in times of need when they are likely the cause of the situation.

On the outside, the aristocratic faction preaches that everyone is fair under the wings of our ancestors, but behind closed doors, or at least behind doors away from commoners, many of the nobles detest being even in the same rooms as commoners. The aristocratic faction nobles hold many galas and events that commoners are also invited to in order to express their desire to show the commoners just as equal to them. The lower nobles that are part of the aristocratic faction also try to show such outward kindness but their mask is not nearly as well kept as those of running the ring.

This of course does not stop the aristocratic faction from continuing to try and curry favor with the commoners for the moment they inevitably become the ones with the crown despite not being of a sacred blood line like the royals.
