If there is one thing the culinary, alchemy, and under worlds have in common, it is the desire to find the recipe for the Sleeping Cupcake. It is an old tale of a cupcake of unknown origin that lures people in by its sweet scent and entices them to take a bite. Just a single bite can whisk even a large beast to sleep for several hours. The most bizarre part is that if there is even a single crumb of the cupcake left it will reappear the next day as if never dined upon to begin with.

The culinary world reveres the cupcake because of the rumors of its perfectly fluffy cake and air-like frosting that is layered to perfection with an iridescent shimmer. It has been described as delectible for all five senses and is the peak of confectionary creation.

The alchemy world desires the cupcake for research into the alchemical properties of a consumable potion that regenerates itself as well as the properties of the attraction becoming stronger the longer it is unable to dissipate its scent.

The underworld, well. It would make a lot of commissions quite a bit easier to have an enticing treat that puts people to sleep. No one suspects a cupcake, after all, not even after the incident where it was last known to be.

The last known location of the cupcake was as a trophy in a wealthy nobleman's house in Upper Kaldanar. The nobleman kept the cupcake on a pedestal to show off his wealth at having such a strange artefact, but one night the glass surrounding the cupcake was broken and the alluring scent of the baked good that had been concentrating itself in its containment spread through the castle and the entire populace became ravenous. They climbed and crawled over each other to get to the cupcake, even going to the point of tearing each other apart to get to it or to steal portions from others. Those who were left alive were unconscious for days due to the potent effects of the cupcake and the cupcake itself was missing.

No one has sighted or sniffed the cupcake since then. Be that because it is missing or being held under proper lock and key remains to be seen.
