Rahn'Taliva

Rahn’Taliva is the capital city of the Fae. It is built in a large crater and at its center is a towering willow tree that goes nearly to the clouds with pink flowers whose branches cover nearly the entire city. The royal palace is built in and around the trunk of the willow itself, with permission from the dryad who resides in the tree, of course. The city itself is known for its beautiful metalwork, ornate designs, and colorful flowers. Even those without an appreciation for beauty would be in awe over even the houses of the commoners.

Besides the scenery, architecture, and the foliage, another favorite scene in Rahn’Taliva would be the fae that reside there, particularly the fairies and pixies, though the elves are also just as equally sought. Above all, one can only hope to catch a glance of the royal family and their stunning wings but a more common sighting would be the fairy nobles walking around with their wings out. A fairy’s wings are their pride and joy and are respected as such. There are also some fairies and pixies that are more otherworldly than their brethren with taking on features that align with their elements, such as gemstones in their skin, flower petals, branches, and more. While they do have a more human form, many prefer to show their real forms as a matter of pride of themselves, just like with their wings, especially since outside of Rahn’Taliva many fairies hide their wings for protection.

Another wished for sighting is the dances of the fairies at their balls. The women wear dresses that flow long past their bodies as they fly around in the air which only adds to the ethereal effect when they begin to dance. The dances themselves are elegant and sweeping, requiring both an aptitude in rhythm but also flight since there are many swoops, drops, and dips that would send an inexperienced flier to the ground dozens of feet below if it is done incorrectly.
