Queen Xkava's Conquest

Queen Xkava is the grandmother of the current Queen of Vulca. She was a powerful, pureblooded Zernox and is a direct descendant of the Fire Dragon King Kinerix himself. Her pride and power knew no bounds, but neither did her ambition. Her kingdom was a land of volcanic ash with her own castle nestled in a lake of lava atop an active volcano. She tired of the ashy skies and the blackened earth with the only plants being on the far edges of the country, far away from the capital city where she resided in.

Queen Xkava wanted more and most of all, she wanted a mate that was her equal, which was difficult to come by even without her high standards. The Queen gathered her army of zernox and began her conquest of the world as far as her wings would take her. Her army raised fire and brimstone to wherever they went, taking many people under their command, mainly as slaves. Queen Xkava did not care for the lives of those who were not fire draconids, as they were lesser beings to begin with. With her lineage it was her birthright to rule all, the weak vermin would recognize that once they were taught their place.

In her travels Queen Xkava did find one man that could be her match, even if not he would be an entertaining consort since she did not have a Lunarian in her collection. However, she was not able to breach the fortifications the water dragon goddess Tentai left behind. Her rage flared then slowly settled to a simmer until she was met by a nishi with the spirit of a white tiger. He wore a slick smirk but he had a plan to get to the homeland of the Lunarians. The Queen sent her most trusted generals to conquer the Lunarian homeland, Zanna. The result was a complete massacre of nearly everyone who lived there. The carnage was extreme enough even the gods could not simply let things go as they were.

Queen Xkava was cursed to not be able to leave the castle and her entire army was forcibly summoned back to their homeland. The gods need not give further punishment. All of the countries that Queen Xkava tore her way through bore a deep grudge and refused trade with any fire draconids whether they were from Vulca or not. Many formerly amicable countries turned their backs to Vulca and so Vulca became a completely isolated country with nothing but itself to rely on to not collapse. While Queen Xkava was exiled to her castle, her most trusted general Vymwrath took care of many of the affairs of Vulca and after many years managed to get other countries at least open for small trades. However even in recent times there is still much distrust towards Vulcari draconids.
