Order of the Sunkeepers

The Sunkeepers are followers of The Radiant King Diagor, God of the Sun and God of Healing. They pride themselves in being protectors and healers, much like the god they serve. The order has three main factions, or sections:   The Dawnlight. They are a group of healers trained in both healing magic that uses light as well as healing via stitching. Stitching is a very difficult to learn practice as it requires intimate knowledge of how the body functions all the way to its core. Many come to the Order's temples to learn how to stitch and can be given a certificate of rank which states how well they know how to stitch. The temples are also a place where many young healers come to learn how to more efficiently use their magic to heal others or figure out how to use stronger healing magicks, regardless of the god they follow or worship.   The Sunbright. They are a group of warriors who use their light magic offensively in order to protect those who cannot defend themselves. They are a highly respected group of knights and are willing to train all who come through their doors, regardless of background or heritage.   The Dusknight. They are a group of researchers whose main task is to discover cures to ailments and curses. This particular faction is mostly found in the main temple of the Order, which is where they keep all records of research in the library of the main temple. There are still Dusknight researchers at other temples, but they are mainly there as outpost researchers due to ease of access to their research material or the requirement of them to be in the area to make cures for curses and ailments. The Dusknights in particular also have intricate knowledge of the Demon Prince Viyana's Blights and keep the cure for them on hand at all branches of the Order. The Dusknight also follow the teachings of The Apothecary Cerina, Goddess of Potions and Alchemy, who is the wife of The Radiant King Diagor, God of the Sun and Healing, since she is well known for making potions to help heal people without magic and has a love for experimenting and research, much like what the Dusknight factions strives for.   Of course, one does not have to belong to just a single faction. A person who has gone through the rigorous tests of all three factions and has succeeded to the highest official placement of all three gain the title of Sunkeeper.   In order to become the head of one of the three factions, one is required to be a Sunkeeper, that way they know the effort the other factions go through in order to progress as well as how they function on a normal basis in order to keep unity between the three factions. Each Sunkeeper chooses a faction they are most suited to, but they still aid the other factions in whatever business they may have, be it training, teaching, or research for the betterment of the Order and for the betterment of all they intend to help. Sunkeepers are also able to lead missions to aid places in need and will select members from all three factions as needed for the task at hand.   It is known to many that the Order of the Sunkeepers is not a place one goes for wealth of coin or ease of life. Any coin that members of the Order earns is purely from gratitude of the people they have helped or from working a trade or job alongside their studies at the temple. Many come to the Order seeking their teachings, but there are also those who send their children to the Order or come to learn due to all students being given a place to stay and food to eat, but those who are not able to keep up with the training requirements find themselves swiftly removed, but at least with a loaf of bread in their hands. This method of teaching has given many the chance to make a name for themselves as well as give themselves the ability to earn a living even if they are not an official Dawnlight Healer, Sunbright Knight, or Dusknight Alchemist.
