Emerald Monk

Atop one of the largest mountain ranges in the world, there exists a temple city. Within the mountains are walls of emeralds that no amount of tools or magic could leave even a single scratch. Many make the pilgrimage up the mountain to the temple city to make prayers to be as strong and unbreakable as the emeralds. It's often a rite of passage for young warriors before they go on their first mission. The temple monks themselves meditate in the calming aura of the emeralds and strive to be unbreakable and enduring to all that come towards them with a focus on protecting others like a steadfast wall, just like the emeralds below their city. Their combat style mirrors their beliefs: Immovable like a mountain, unyielding like a wall, and enduring like the emeralds.

Haston Jinistad is the Emerald Monk, or head monk, of the temple city and is a kind and welcoming mountain of a man that welcomes all that wish to make the pilgrimage to his temple. Born and raised in this city and lifestyle, he is the epitome of what every monk that practices there wishes to attain. He is often considered a gentle giant, due to his size, but he can put many knights to shame with his bare fists.

The role of the head monk is to guide those who wish to anchor themselves and wish to become a steadfast wall to face what may come next. The head monk also teaches those who seek out the teachings of the Emeralds that while it is good to be steady, one must also be able to be calm and be one with those around them. The head monk is also in charge of making sure the emeralds of the mountain are unharmed and have not yet woken up.
