Envenomation

Envenomation is a neurotoxic medical condition acquired by exposure to cracked cobra poison. Despite the poison slowly killing them and making them suffer a plethora of negative symptoms (i.e. convulsion, vomiting, sneezing, and explosive diarrhea), they develop a psychological addiction to the poison, going so far as to bring harm to others in their delusional rage if they don't have enough.
Luckily, this condition can be cured by a simple antidote or by simply letting the poison pass, but medical professionals do not recommend counting on the latter as envenomation can be fatal if not treated. What is recommended is that people going into cracked cobra habitats wear thick layers of waterproof protective clothing and carrying a holy talisman at all times. Children are especially at risk for developing envenomation as their brains are still developing, so protective measures should be doubled for them.
