Government

The Leader of the Lake side City of Argos is chosen by democratic election, the election determines who represents the city state in foreign trade and diplomatic engagements. Taxation is paid annually to the Ruktari Coalition to fund the defense of Rexium / Shilari and the war effort, taxes are only collected from Nobility and the City State Leader.

The city is surrounded by a ditch and palisades. 55 trained warriors serve in the city's defense, and a militia of 783 can be mustered in case of attack. The sheriff is Percival Remington, Male Human.

History

Argos is the youngest of the city-states, recently constructed just before the start of the 1st Tyrnnien War. Young thinkers and democratic minds gathered in the new city, to share ideas, and build a city based on trust and forward progress.

Points of interest

  • The Moon Gate: A large hemisphere of pearlescent white stone. The stone sometimes becomes ghostly and translucent under the light of a full moon, and a person can walk through it.
  • The Theatre of Dreams: A large timber and brick theatre
  • The Fool and Cauldron: An elegant adventurer's inn, known for its invisible food and drink.

A place for everyone to share ideas and growth, scholars and inventors flock to the amphitheaters and halls to grow and build better ideas.

Geography

Situated near Kodam's Basin, west of the Crags of Enlightenment, and south of the Sanguine Deadlands Argos spreads out across the grasslands, the desert and foothills, the terrain is as varied as its people.
