The Isle of the Grail
The Isle of the Grail, located in the center of Lake Avalon, lays just within eyesight of the people living in the city of Camelot, the capital of the the nation of Avalon. It is said when King Arthur returned from the Isle alongside Sir Percival they founded Camelot where the first drop of water from the Grail touched the ground.
The island is known to be a natural place of attunement to the powers of prophecy and divination. As such, it is home to an order of wizards and monks whose lives are dedicated to the protection and understanding of prophecies tied to the Grail, or those it has blessed. Known as The Servants of the Grail, they also serve as the guardians of The Lady of the Lake, the spiritual vessel through which the Grail speaks to the world and serves out its justice and intentions to the mortals. At this present time The Lady of the Lake is Queen Gweniverre of Avalon, the lady wife of King Arthur Pendragon.
Passage to and from the island is strictly monitored by the Knights of the Round Table to ensure that only the worthy gain passage to the island for audience with The Servants of the Grail, or the Lady in the Lake herself. Most who travel here either do it in the company of a knight, King Arthur himself, or with their expressed permission.
Ecosystem
The island mostly contains tropical evergreen trees that dot its landscape and hide its well traveled footpaths from the beach heads deep into the island to the Temple of the Grail near a natural mineral spring at the heart of the island.
What little animal life lives on the island is mostly observed to be a small family of bears and a herd of deer that live alongside a small menagerie of smaller game transported here by royal decree to act as a nature preserve should Avalonian hunting get to oppressive on domestic populations.

History
Discovered around the year 12480 by then Prince, Arthur Pendragon, along with his traveling companion Merlin, and the veteran wizard Gaius, the future founder of Avalon would go on to discover the prophetic qualities of the water and see a future within which humanity was no longer subjugated alongside the rest of the world by draconic tyranny under Ashe. Leaving his friends on the safety of the island Arthur would travel to find Stannis Dracul the leader of The Fangs, the terrorist group seeking to undermine Ashe's hegemonic rule of the world.
After the War of the Fangs was over the now King Arthur would commission the creation of The Grail as a means to harness and cultivate the power of the island as he believed it would hold great spiritual significance to the world. Soon after, he discovered that The Grail would give boons and gifts to those it deemed worthy. In the case of Arthur and many of his followers this boon was artificially elongated lives allowing them to live far beyond any other human ever has, as long as they continually drink from the waters of the Grail every few centuries.
