The Old Paths
The "Old Paths" as they are now called are the crumbling remnants of the Drow Civilization that initially formed west of the Imperium. A series of brutal wars drove the Drow beyond the Eastern Mountains. The Imperium took over a few key routes between settlements and forts but left the rest to decay. Attempts at charting these forgotten paths either end in retreat or disappearance of expeditions entirely. All but the main roads are empty of traffic.
Royal Sentinels are responsible for patrolling those areas kept intact by the Imperium.
Geography
A few key hubs have been kept active around Imperium centers but the tunnels extend across what is now Imperium Territory, and are the key to Imperial might.
