Taozi

Taozi [Tay-oh-zee] is a trader and traitor alike. He is one of the few free roaming Reketta that wanders across most of the regions of Basillua, after having deserted one of the species' southern settlements. He is a wandering merchant, often straying far from any large settlement, fearing persecution for his race or loyalty. However, he often carries and gets his claws over special artifacts, or survival gear that makes his survival a bit more essential to those that meet him on the stranger roads. He remains a personal friend (or, at least a decent acquaintance) towards Glain, and has his own personal companion in the form of a domesticated dire wolf named Braki. As part of his wanderings and stray behavior, he refers to himself to most as simply the letter T.   Officially, T classifies his occupation and specialty as the Adventure Merchant, but the very few that know him more in the long term consider him more of a thief, or pillager. Its a bit questionable as to which side of the Reketta alliance he was born from, but he seems to know a little of each, and hate them all the same. He displays no sense of loyalty and idealism, other than his own benefit, but will do a lot in order to make a deal with someone else. In the case of Glain, this often means even some contribution with knowledge, or cartography details that may assist in her hunt or task. In other cases, this might mean helping another sabotage a settlement, or similar proxy conflicts.  

Physical description

  Taozi is a typical male Sand Reketta, matching a male human's average size, and bearing mostly scales and mid-length ivory colored horns. He is mostly scaled with a scheme of blue-green color, and tiny faint-red membranes growing along the jaw. An odd but small amount of red plumage grows along the very end of his tail, and along the forearm. He often wears a golden ring on one horn, and has a remarkably overstuffed backpack on him unless he's managed to offload its contents onto someone else through sales.
