The Shipyards are shut down and workers evacuated after extensive damage repair is no longer financially viable

After the work accident on the Meraki in 2256 and the recent battle, the shipyard is full of holes and venting gas, the remaining Union fleet quickly realises that the station is no longer viable, and evacuates the surviving workers on-board, records show that the station should have fallen into the orbiting gas giant or exploded from reactor malfunctions before now.
