The Old War

A few thousand years ago, A war was fought between the Old Race and a race of extraplanar beings from the astral plane. the war was fought using augmented weaponry. The Old Race were masters of Kell, the life blood of the world. By infusing there weapons, armor, and soldiers with Kell they were able to push the invaders back. Astral beings suffered heavy losses but were not going to stand down. As a last resort the astral beings created the Extractor a machine that sucks the Kell out of every living being within range. After many years of internal chaos the Old Race destroyed the Extractor and banished the astral beings.
