Lacewing Tech Professional

....WORK IN PROGRESS....

Jack Pine Tower is located in the normal part of a city located in Maryland. This means that it is not at all hidden from the public eye. Since the facility is prominently seen by average people, it has been disguised under a front organization referred to as LACEWING: Stormy Eclipse. It is a technology firm that 'specializes in tech solutions'. Though the average person is not sure of what exactly Lacewing really is, many desperate people straggle into the establishment regularly in search of a job. Not everyone is allowed into the organization, however. W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. screens each candidate to make sure that they are a good fit for the company. They accept applications, but not everyone is cleared to begin a position.

Some W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. operatives desire to get away from the upper floors of Jack Pine Tower and enjoy a calm moment in the life of an average workday. This is not always granted, however. The company does not trust every agent to mix in with the public and not spill secrets (be it by accident or on purpose). This reasoning leads many to believe that the mundane Lacewing Tech Professional role is one to be coveted on all sides.

Commander McCox gives newbies the rundown:   You know those tech guys you see downstairs? Yeah. All those businesspeople at their computers and stuff? Half of those are actual W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. agents, and the other half aren't. The other half don't even know that Jack Pine Tower is one an international spy company's most prominent headquarters locations. Those people think they've got a boring desk job. And they do have a boring desk job. But it's not as boring as me just sitting in here most days. I tell you, sometimes, I'm just sitting here thinking about what I'm supposed to do. And when I sit here thinking about what I'm supposed to do, I end up forgetting what I was actually doing. And when I forget what I was actually doing, it makes me sit there and try to remember what I was doing. Then, I remember I was just sitting here thinking of what I was supposed to be doing. Then, I try to remember what exactly that was. And then, I have nobody to talk to half the time, so I end up just sitting here being completely quiet and still, staring at nothing. One time, Princely said he was in here for a full five minutes just waving his hand in front of my face. He said I wasn't blinking or moving or anything. He's gotta be exaggerating because that doesn't sound like me at all. When am I quiet for a minute? I know I say I don't go on tangents, but I can certainly hold a good conversation. And I see folks approaching my office from a mile away. I never miss the opportunity to chat. It gets boring around here and I just end up sitting there trying to remember...what were we talking about again?
