LemnoCultivation
Dearest concerned Intern, The individuals you observed tending to the plants are official W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. Scientists who know exactly what they are doing. We advise you to leave them alone and go about your own business, continuing your learning so that you can know what you are doing, too. Thank you.The Scientists at W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. use Lemnomites to enrich the soil used to grow certain plants that are developed by the company. This process is considered LemnoCultivation. Lemnomites are tiny mites that are bioengineered to absorb toxins from soil and release nutrients. This use case was first explored in a lab. There were several who opposed the experiments, arguing that such tiny creatures could wreak havoc and there would realistically be no actual way to curb any infestations. Nevertheless, Scientists put fears at ease, agreeing to conduct several trials over the course of years to prove themselves. Plants were grown side by side in similar environments, the only difference being that the soil of one plant was LemnoCultivated and the other was not. Crops harvested from the plants that were grown in LemnoCultivated soil had more appealing results. The plants themselves appeared to be healthier; their colors more vibrant, their flavors more enhanced, and their vitality more enduring. The scents of some Diffuser Flowers and such were also amplified by the LemnoCultivated soil. After several more meetings, arguments, and paperwork proof, the Higher-Ups finally allowed the scientists to publicly inform agency employees of the LemnoCultivation process. Material was issued to assure everyone that the Lemnomite creatures were safe. Measures were taken to abate any uproar that could result from uninformed employees. LemnoCultivation is now a regular occurrence. Many people are not exactly sure what is happening with the dirt, but Scientists often visit any given company grounds to check the soil levels and add more Lemnomites (if needed). This happens around many W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. headquarters locations, bases, and even areas that contain living quarters such as apartments and dorms.-an email from W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P.
Commander McCox gives newbies the rundown: Yeah. I know those little Lemnomite thingies are kinda weird, but they seem to be everywhere now, and we haven't found ourselves in the plot of a horror movie yet, so they're probably safe, I guess. Can't help but stare every time I see a potted plant around Jack Pine Tower. I've seen those sci guys doing whatever they do to the plants. I've tried to look for the bugs myself, but I guess they're just too small. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing...
